We're Up 9.6 Units With Our Gambling Picks This Week And Looking To Finish Strong

RECORD

74-116-2 (+6 units)

We had another good day yesterday. Cody Bellinger had a find game for the Cubs, but he failed to go deep. That was the only blight on our résumé. The Twins took care of business against the New York Mets. A Max Kepler double late in that game helped us win that one with relative ease. The Tampa Bay Rays came back and knocked off the Seattle Mariners with a two-run walkoff home run to cover on the run line. That is the second time this week that the Rays have a covered following a walkoff home run. I still don't think they're going to win the World Series, but they're getting on my good side. It's been a good week for us. I know that it's the first official NFL Sunday of the year, but I'm still in baseball mode. Let's take a look at today's picks.

Yankees -1.5 (+165) against the Brewers

Man, I LOVE this pitching matchup. Gerrit Cole vs Corbin Burnes is an absolute treat. You have one future Cy Young winner in Cole and a former Cy Young winner in Burnes. I'm playing with fire by betting on the Yankees. I think I've said multiple times that they're on my shit list, but I can't look past the value of taking a future Cy Young winner at plus money while pitching at home. Corbin Burnes is electric, but he's been inconsistent at points this year. Cole, on the other hand, has been as steady as they get. He had a blowup start against the Red Sox last month. In his three starts since then, he's posted a 1.83 ERA. I've come around on this Brewers this year, but their one big Achilles heel is their offense. The last pitcher you want to face when you have offensive woes is Gerrit Cole. Give me the bombers at home.

Blue Jays -1.5 (+115) against the Royals

I've been so down on the Blue Jays this year—their inability to find any kind of consistency is maddening. But I feel like they're starting to come around. Playing the Royals helps teams break out of slumps. The Blue Jays are at plus money today because Cole Ragans has been a true revelation since being acquired by the Royals in the Aroldis Chapman trade. He's been excellent, but I feel like he's due for a bad start. Jose Berrios has had a nice bounce-back year for the Blue Jays, and he's facing one of the worst lineups in baseball. I think Cole Ragans is in for a rude awakening.

Jace Peterson to homer (+950) against the Cubs

It's been a good week. Fuck it, let's have some fun. This is the biggest long-shot home run prop I've bet on all season. Jace Peterson is not a home run hitter. You could argue he's not a hitter at all. He has a career OPS of .658 and a .553 OPS since being acquired by Arizona. The one thing he has going for him is that he has tremendous numbers against Kyle Hendricks. I'm putting my faith in the data here: Peterson has twenty-three career plate appearances against Kyle Hendricks. He's collected nine hits, including two home runs. It's a big-time long shot, but if we hit with it, I'm doing cartwheels. Let's roll the dice.
