Embrace Debate: The Bengals Offense Becomes Good Again The Moment They Let Joe Mixon Play Quarterback

Let me be clear. This isn't a healthy debate, this is embracing debate. Joe Burrow is on one leg. There's a somewhat decent chance he doesn't play on Monday if it keeps bothering him. I've seen Bengals fans say you gotta sit him and let him get healthy. Well, look at what we have here. A healthy Joe Mixon figuring out a way to get a decent contract for a running back.

Become a quarterback.

Actually, just become a backup quarterback. You might get more money and job security than a running back if you adapt here. But maybe this is how the Bengals offense gets fixed. Burrow hasn't looked right this year - injury, rain or whatever else out there. Why bring a 3rd quarterback with the new rule when you can go with Mixon? It's called the element of surprise. Why not bring back the Wildcat but let him sling the ball. Shit if the Broncos can use a wide receiver at quarterback for a game, how bad can Mixon be?

Gotta admit - those throws don't look terrible. I've seen worse from starting quarterbacks across the league. Season on the line Monday night. That's not even being dramatic. You don't go 0-3 and have a great season, no matter who you are. I need to know what Mixon said to Burrow early on in the video. Was he giving Burrow advice on how to do a dropback? Talk about self confidence through the roof.

This is how you think outside the box. Oh Andy Reid is taking plays from janitors? We're going to use our running back at quarterback. Good luck stopping that, Rams.
