The SF Giants Clubhouse Reportedly Had Bob Marley Music Playing After Losses This Year Which Caused Some Players To Question The Team's Professionalism

SOURCE - Some Giants players noticed small but telling signs in the clubhouse this season. The blaring, postgame victory playlist is a staple in most clubhouses. At some point, though, someone decided that it would be appropriate to play Bob Marley music in the clubhouse after losses.

That’s part of the problem in San Francisco. The implied message after losses: “Don’t worry ’bout a thing. ‘Cause every little thing is gonna be all right.”

The Giants are limping their way to the end of a season that can only be defined as a disappointment. Since 2022 began, they are 159-160. They aren't bad. They aren't good. They just…are. The Giants are kind of an odd team in that they have a very complete roster but one with very few elite players. Other than Logan Webb and Comilo Doval, they don't have that star player. Even those examples are guys who are very good but also underrated.

That's not to say the Giants didn't try to get a big name last offseason. They went after both Aaron Judge and Carlos Correa. Not signing Correa ended up being a blessing in disguise but this is still a team without an identity since Buster Posey retired. They've gone 20-30 in their last 50 games and have played their way out of a wild card spot. I thought it was just a team running out of gas. Ends up that this clubhouse may have just been a mess.

I will admit I've never played Pusoy. It does sound pretty awesome just based on the enthusiasm here. But if I'm a Giants fan, I'm wondering where the fuck the leadership is. If I'm Gabe Kapler, I'm throwing these cards the fuck out and tell the players I don't want to see them again in the clubhouse. While he's at it, unplug the speakers after losses. It's crazy to me that it's Gabe Kapler of all people as manager of this team. He was known for his whole career as being super intense. Instead, you have poor Wilmer Flores and Mike Yastrzemski asking other players to give a shit.

We haven't seen a single manager fired all season. We may see some heads roll next week when the regular season ends. I think you might have to take a look at replacing Gabe Kapler. After winning 107 games in 2021, it's been two straight seasons of mediocrity for the Giants.

I don't know if you can change a clubhouse culture over night. Having a healthy Mitch Haniger would certainly help that offense. I'm also curious to see if Marco Luciano can start being an impact player for them next year. The Giants are also lucky to have a true ace in Logan Webb. There are some good pieces on this team.

There's also always time for another game of Pusoy.
