There's Only One Move For USA Golf To Make After Rory Guaranteed A Ryder Cup Win In 2025 - Announce Tiger Woods As Captain Today

Watched a shit ton of football, slept on it and I've come up with only one logical conclusion for the United States Ryder Cup team. You make Tiger Woods the 2025 captain at Bethpage Black. In fact you announce it today. Go with the whole 'we're invested, rebuilding' whatever cliche we always hear after an ass kicking. You have Rory already calling his shot that Europe is going to run it back, so much so that Shane Lowry was even loving it:

Here's the other thing - the US doesn't really have any other option. 2025 was set up to be Phils' year as captain. We know that ain't happening anymore. Without him we're basically talking about Tiger, Justin Leonard and uhh that's about it when it comes to guys who played in the Ryder Cup, have a major, 45-55 years old, etc, that typically a captain ends up being. You're sure as hell not bringing Leonard to New York. He's an aways captain or a captain if the Ryder Cup is back in Massachusetts.

Now imagine the fact it could be Tiger vs Sergio at Bethpage like Azinger threw out there. Sign me the fuck up. I'll fly out right this second and hang out at Bethpage waiting for that Ryder Cup. I have no idea the solution to stop losing in Europe. It could be play more before the Ryder Cup. There isn't a 'typical' player to bring to Europe since the courses obviously are so different every time over there. So it's about protecting the Cup in the US. It's gotta be this guy.

It's not a secret something needs to happen with this USA Ryder Cup team. We had Hatgate with Patrick Cantlay. We had people complaining about the boys club and bringing someone like Justin Thomas (he's coming if Tiger is there). We have this out there now:

I know this happens after every Ryder Cup loss, on each side too. We hear about unity, teamwork, playing for country, etc. But the fact is home teams just dominate this Ryder Cup because they set the course up. Then a loss happens and everyone freaks out. Time to bring in the best golfer the world has ever seen. Time to bring in a guy who knows how to answer questions to the media (looking at you, Zach). Time to bring in Tiger Woods.
