Marshawn Lynch Said He Laughed In Pete Carroll's Face Then Walked Directly To The Locker Room After Russell Wilson Threw The Interception To Lose Super Bowl XLIX
What is there to be blogged about this game that hasn't been blogged, reblogged, and super reblogged (which is an industry term we use for stories like #Deflategate, Taylor Swift dating Travis Kelce, and of course Donald Trump making Chris Christie eat meatloaf). However thanks to Club Shay Shay, which is something I never thought I'd type in my life, we now know what Marshawn Lynch was doing after Wilson's Blunder as the rest of us were picking our jaws off the floor.
I can't even fathom what was going through Pete Carroll's mind as he just saw his chances of beating his old NFL team in a Super Bowl against the greatest coach and QB ever go from a near certainty to a near impossibility because his QB decided to throw the ball in the most jumbled part of the entire field. But I imagine those thoughts were quickly scrambled when a man with the nickname BEAST MODE started laughing in his face like a schizo on the subway.
I would love for Pete Carroll to go to Club Shay Shay to hear what happened after that at the very least swallowed his gum and at the very most pissed his khakis when Marshawn uncorked that horrifying laugh at him before storming to the locker room. Laughter is one of the nicest sounds a human can hear, unless it's an over-the-top scary laugh, in which case it is terrifying and triggers the Fight Or Flight response in humans.
The crazy part about all this is that obviously Malcolm Butler was tackled at the 1-yard-line with 20 seconds left, so the Patriots still had to snap the ball and kneel it to win the Super Bowl. And even though there was a 99.99999999999999% chance they would win since Bill Belichick probably had them practicing plays for that exact situation every week since training camp, if the Pats did fumble and lost the ball, Pete Carroll wouldn't have had the aforementioned monster named BEAST MODE as an option to give the rock to at the 1 because he was in the locker room unwinding after the pick.
Instead the Patriots got Michael Bennett to hop offsides, the Patriots hoisted another Lombardi Trophy after a couple of kneel downs comfortably outside of the endzone, and we got what Portnoy has told me was the best Rundown moment in the history of the show.
