Travis Hunter Took The Field For Warmups With A Whole Ass Camera Crew Filming Him
I've never seen a program go from "whatever" to "household name" overnight like Colorado. The Deion Sanders effect is a huge reason for that, but Travis Hunter has been a key contributor. It's awesome to see him back in the field after suffering that brutal injury against Colorado State. The guy is an electric factory on the field. Even though their ceiling is like seven or eight wins, this Colorado team is loaded with star players, Hunter being the best of them. You know you're a big deal when you have the football equivalent of TMZ paparazzi following you during warmups.
I feel like we take for granted just how much pressure is on these athletes. I understand that comes with the territory, but the adjustment can't be that easy. The last player I can remember who really impacted his university like this was probably Joe Burrow, though I feel like that was more of a gradual ascension. Hunter played that great game against TCU and immediately popped off.
I'm sure there will be a whole contingency of people who are upset by Colorado's coverage. I want to be one of those guys, but I'd be lying If I told you they didn't become a team I pay attention to weekly. This will end up being the greatest seven-win team in college football history. There's something unique about that.
