Priorities: Sean McVay Says He Won't Miss Any Time Because His Unborn Son Already Knows Better Than To Arrive During Game Day

By all accounts Sean McVay is smarter than me. We're the same age yet he's rich, I'm not. He's got hair, I don't. He's an NFL head coach with a Super Bowl victory, I blog about him and his wife. My point is he's got it figured out and I'm simply a bald man sitting in a recliner. That said, there's one category I feel the need to give Sean McVay some advice.

Don't you dare tempt fate by putting this into the universe. My first son - yeah, that's right, I've had sex. Twice. - was a Friday the 13th baby because we purposely tried to avoid it. Went to get induced on September 11 back in 2019, this way he wouldn't be born on the 11th or 13th and what do you know? Smack dab in the middle of the afternoon this kid came on September 13. You can't do anything when it comes to picking a date or something like that for your kid's birth. You just sit there, offer ice and mostly try to stay out of the way because you're pointless in a room of the person giving birth and all the doctors and nurses.

That said, I love this quote by McVay. I know he's joking, but there's also no joke there. 100% chance McVay has sat on the couch and 'talked' to his unborn son telling him he better not arrive during a game. Just come to be any time during the week unless there's a Monday Night or Thursday night game. I do hope this leads to more insane graphics like this on a Sunday though:

Makes sense when you remember McVay comes from a football family. Unborn son has to know that. As fathers we tend to worry about little things like that. What if they end up cheering for a team we hate? Did we fail then. I'm sure McVay already has the football talks planned out. Anywho, good luck with the upcoming birth.
