"We've Got One. He's Probably On Suicide Watch Right Now"" - Dabo Swinney Kept It Classy As Hell When Asked About Whether Or Not His Team Would Consider Using Sports Psychologists

Dabo’s such a fucking hack, dude. Are we sure this guy won two National Championships? Are we positive? It wasn’t a glitch? I mean, I know he did it on the backs of two generational quarterbacks, but there was a time not that long ago when Dabo Swinney was a top-three coach in the sport. Now I won’t let the guy mow my fucking lawn.

Look, I’m not going to deny the success, and I’m not going to act like this wasn’t obviously a joke. Not all jokes are funny. Saying that your team sports psychologist is on suicide watch because your team couldn’t beat a Miami team that lost a game a few weeks ago because they didn’t know how to take a knee is a pretty fucking stupid move. But then again, so is refusing to use the transfer portal and mocking NIL. No wonder their dynasty crashed and burned.

Do you know what Dabo Swinney is? He’s Coach K near the end of his tenure. He presents himself as this upright guy, but he’s just kind of a phony weasel. The best coaches in the world can adapt. Nick Saban’s been the master of it. Look at how much his offenses have changed since he arrived at Bama. Dabo Sweeney is incapable of it. All coaches have egos, but some can leave them at the door once in a blue moon. This guy is not. That wouldn’t bother me, but he presents himself like he’s fucking Mr. Rogers or some shit.

Like I said, Dabo was trying to tell a joke that didn’t land. But I would hate to be a member of the Clemson football team who, you know, might actually be struggling with mental health. I’m sorry to get on my soapbox, but shit like this are reasons why people don’t speak up about their mental health. It's probably hard to feel like Coach has your back.
