The Browns Quarterback Stats Are So Abysmal That They Owe It To Their Team And Fans To Trade For Someone Else Immediately

I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's the truth: the Browns have to bring in another quarterback immediately. The rest of our team is simply too good to allow the offense to ruin a season with this much potential. The fact that we're sitting at 4-2 with these stats.....

- Dead Last in QBR

- Dead Last in Passer Rating

- Dead Last in Completion Percentage

- 31st in Passing Yards

- 31st in Passing Touchdowns (4 through 6 games LOL)

- 2nd in Interceptions

......is flat out jaw-dropping. How can you be that bad at the most important position in football and still be 4-2? If we even had a below average QB, we'd be 6-0 and the '72 Dolphins would be squirming in their seats. And what's crazy is we're 3rd in the league in rushing!!! It literally has come down to 1 position that is fucking everything up: our quarterback.

Now, this isn't to say that I'm completely out on Deshaun Watson. For some reason, contrary to what my eyes have seen, I still believe he can get back to 2020 form where he had a passer rating of 112.4 with 4,823 yards, 33 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions. Maybe it's the optimist in me, or maybe it's the fact that if he really is this bad, his $230,000,000 guaranteed contract will go down as the worst in NFL history and set an already bottom of the barrel franchise back another decade. So yes, I'm still saying Deshaun is our QB, but the problem with Deshaun Watson at the moment is two fold:

1. He never plays. He doesn't play when he's injured, and he doesn't play when he's healthy.

2. When he does play, he stinks.

I personally don't think we can do anything about the 2nd problem. When you pay someone $230,000,000, he has to be your guy. I don't think we can go get Kirk Cousins, because what inevitably will happen is Cousins will show how easy it is to look good with the best defense in NFL history and plenty of weapons on offense, and then we'll have a very expensive and embarrassing QB controversy on our hands. However I do think we need to do something to address problem #1 of him never playing, whether healthy or injured. And the answer to that is:

He's sitting behind Sam Howell in Washington on a team that has no playoff aspirations. He knows the offense. He has shown that he can play well here. And he would only cost $3 million. If Andrew Berry isn't on the phone with Washington this morning, then shame on him. We cannot go into games with Deshaun being a stubbed toe away from being precautionarily held out and PJ Walker as our backup. Our team is simply too good to be let down by the 32nd best passing offense in the league. This is a Super Bowl team if we can even crack the Top 20.
