Caught Red Handed, Hilarious Video of U.S. Representative Pulling Fire Alarm Before a Crucial Vote

NY Post - Before Rep. Jamaal Bowman “accidentally” activated a fire alarm and forced the evacuation of a House office building last month, the far-left lawmaker hastily removed two emergency exit signs from nearby doors, footage released Thursday revealed.

The 47-year-old Bronx and Westchester Democrat then made his way to the alarm on the nearby wall and yanked it before turning on his heel and walking away — still holding one of the signs — rather than trying to go out through the door as he initially claimed.

The video, made public hours after Bowman pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of falsely pulling a fire alarm, disproves his version of the Sept. 30 debacle.

“I was trying to get to a door. I thought the alarm would open the door, and I pulled the fire alarm to open the door by accident,” Bowman said at the time.

“I was just trying to get to my vote and the door that’s usually open wasn’t open, it was closed.”

Not a politics guy here. Just a real big fan of the crazy ones. Rob Ford is a personal hero of mine (RIP).

There's also nothing funnier to me than damning evidence following a good lie (i.e. Michigan Football). This story checks both boxes.

We talked about Jamaal Bowman on The Rundown yesterday. This fire alarm incident happened about a month ago right before a crucial government funding vote. As of early yesterday afternoon, there was no video released to the public. All we had to go on was this very funny picture.

That's pretty damning evidence in it's own right. But based the picture, I guess his explanation was still plausible. He was in a hurry to get to where he was going, and was trying to use the emergency exit doors. Still a MASSIVE stretch, but sure, MAYBE there was a 1% chance that was actually true.

However, soon after we recorded The Rundown, the full video dropped. I had half a mind to slap a must watch on this. Lets take a look at the film and see if we can determine what Rep. Jamaal Bowman had in mind here.

God damn it Jamaal! You mad man! The swift removal of the signs. The quick turn to the alarm. The full extension reach and pull so that there can be ZERO mistake that he did it intentionally, followed by the quick scamper away from the scene. Just zero consideration of using the doors what so ever. Could not possibly be busted any harder.

Credit where credit is due. That is a hilarious move. The pulling of a fire alarm as a last ditch effort to delay the inevitable. Who among us hasn't considered it? You forgot to study for a big test, and for some reason think pulling the fire alarm and delaying the test by 10 minutes while you run a class fire drill will somehow help you out. But in the end you were too cowardly to do so, so instead you just failed the test on schedule. But Big Balls Bowman wasn't going down without a fight. He wasn't about to lose that vote within the next 10 minutes. He was hell bent on dragging it out slightly longer, and multiply his L times 1000. Hell yeah America. Hell yeah politicians. Y'all are doing just great.
