Marvin Harrison Jr's Heisman Trophy Odds Seem Way Too High Considering He's The Best Player In The Country On An Undefeated Team

So obviously I'm not breaking any news when I tell you that Marvin Harrison Jr is very good at football. In fact, I think if you polled 100 college football experts, over half of them would tell you that he is the best player in the sport. However the news I am breaking to you this morning is that for some God forsaken reason, there is still extreme VALUE in taking Marvin Harrison Jr to win the Heisman Trophy when I'm pretty sure he's going to?

Before I give you my reasoning, I'm going to give you his last 4 games log:

@ Wisconsin: 6 catches, 123 yards, 2 TD

vs. #7 Penn State: 11 catches , 162 yards, TD

@ Purdue: 6 catches, 105 yards, TD

vs. Maryland: 8 catches, 163 yards, TD

He is now the 2nd player in OSU history with 100 receiving yds and a receiving TD in at least 4 consecutive games, joining Cris Carter, who had a streak of 5 back in 1986. And with the Notre Dame game sandwiched in-between, where he got a little banged up anyways, he had two more games of 100+ and a TD before that.

Point being: he's putting up monster numbers. And we've seen that wide receivers from great teams can win the Heisman when they put up monster numbers. When DeVonta Smith won the Heisman in 2020, he had 98 receptions and 1,511 receiving yards with 17 TD catches. Those are probably better than Marv will have unless he goes nuts these next 4 games, but I think they will at least be pretty comparable?

But I guess my main point is this: who else is going to win the Heisman?

Caleb Williams is done. The leaders in the clubhouse right now are Michael Penis from Washington and JJ McCarthy from Michigan*. Penis is one loss away from dropping off, and Washington has USC, Utah, and Oregon State the next 3 weeks. I figure they'll slip up once, and I'm not sure he holds off the other guys if we finish 12-0 with all of our primetime games anyways. And as for JJ, he would beat Marvin today but is he not one Ohio State victory over Michigan away from being completely jumped? My point is that JJ is +325, and Marv is still +1200. Instead of hammering the Ohio State money line like you all should, why not take the +1200 and cash more money on the same result? People are starting to catch on as Marv has gone from around +6000 a few weeks ago, to +2000 going into this week, to me watching with my own eyes after each touchdown him dropping to +1200 live. And I still think that's incredible value.

I don't know guys. I'm just trying to help everyone out. And this isn't just me being a Buckeye homer. Everyone is catching on now:

Get the ticket before it's +500 after he bends Rutgers over on Saturday and Penis loses at USC!
