Ho Hum Eagles Take Care Of Washington To Improve To NFL Best 7-1
Was it pretty? Of course not. Washington plays the Eagles dirt tough. The Birds were LUCKY to escape with a win at home to the Commies earlier this year (h/t Riverboat Ron not going for 2) and this game started with similar vibes.
Example: The First Half RedZone Behavior. Not only did Jalen Hurts fumble a Brotherly Shove at the one yard line, we've got new figurative questions that would baffle the likes of Socrates: Why is Kenneth Gainwell - A) In the game when it's 1st & Goal? And 2) Getting the ball when it's 1st & goal. EVERY SINGLE GAME.
But other than those twi WIDLY UNACCEPTABLE RedZone fumbles and a few lackluster efforts on defense (s/o Sam Howell for looking like Manning in his prime against the Birds - AGAIN), the Eagles ain't play too shabby. Jalen Hurts balled to a casual 29/39 for 319 yards and 4 TD's. AJ Brown remains incredible no matter how flat his Earth lays. 1st receiver in NFL history to have 6 straight games of 125+ receiving yards. THOU SHALL NOT DEFEND AJ BROWN.
HOF JULIO HATH ARRIVED:
Fake Brotherly Shove right thru the wickets:
With the 49ers dropping a few in a row that means the Eagles still hold the #1 seed in the NFC equipped with the only BYE. 7-1. Feels pretty damn good after the Phillies. Go Birds.
