Man Of Honor: Samford's Head Coach Kept His Promise By Sending Out A 5'8" Dude For The Tip Against Zach Edey Annnddd It Went As You'd Expect
So I blogged this earlier today after seeing it all over Samford's Twitter the last 2 weeks. Hey, I'm all for guys keeping it loose and doing whatever they can to mix it up. You don't expect to win a tip against Zach Edey, you can only hope to look good out there. So what does he do? Sends out a 5'7" dude.
Now, I've been around the Internet long enough to just not blindly trust something. That's even true when Bucky McMillan sent this out:
This single tweet had me restore some faith. He put me in a spot though of ready to declare him a dishonorable man, a man who is a liar if he didn't do it. Well, I switched to BTN at 6:30 and saw it:

Come on! I know you tried to steal the tip, that was the whole point of the campaign. But I wanted to see Dallas jump. I wanted to see him give it his all. Who knows? Maybe Edey doesn't time it up right or the ball isn't a perfect toss. You never know. Feels like I was slightly lied to, but Bucky is still a man of honor.
