Take It Easy Man: Rick Pitino's New Coaching Strategy Consists Of Sending A Daily Several Hundred Word Group Text To Every Player On St. John's

We all know what it's like to be in a group text with this sort of guy. I don't mind group texts. I don't think they are annoying or anything. It's easier than a call or texting people individually. But you can't send a text every damn day that's this long. Dude is sending a Greenie Celtics blog to the entire team every day. No one wants to read that. I don't care if there's a reason or if he's trying to fire up his team, there's no shot college kids are reading that entire thing. 

It is hilarious to think of all people doing this is Pitino. Don't get me wrong, he's one of the 5 best coaches of all time in this sport. He's elite at everything when it comes to coaching. But this dude out here sending motivational texts like this is not what I expected to hear from him. Really want to know what his text was like this morning 

I'm sure it'll be some motivational bullshit, but I need Pitino to send a 400 word text just telling each player what they did wrong. You also know the players have a side group text just making fun of Pitino. No doubt about it. I know St. John's got their shit kicked in last night, but Michigan is damn good. Dug McDaniel legit might be the most improved player in the country. Pitino will have St. John's fine. They won't win the Big East or be a Final Four team, but they'll at least be relevant enough to watch. That's a massive step for St. John's. 

You gotta cut out the daily blog text though. Just far too long to read each day.
