Milan Lucic Is Taking An Indefinite Leave From The Bruins After Being Involved In An Alleged Domestic Dispute
Yikes... Milan Lucic is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team after being involved in a domestic dispute last night. The Bruins released a statement saying they are aware of the incident and will work with the Lucic family to provide support and assistance. Lucic hasn't played since October 21st after blocking a shot (I'm sure he broke his foot), and has now squandered his second time playing in Boston. Really horrible, indefensible stuff if true. Separating hockey here, I know we have no details but it goes without saying that no one should have to go through a dispute like that. Hope the family involved is safe and gets the help they need. The consequences and pieces will fall where they may when more is known about the situation.
Brad Marchand spoke briefly about the incident before tonight's game vs. Montreal. Says the Bruins are family but he's equally concerned about the events. "Definitely worried about Britt and the kids, and Looch himself but they have all the support in the world and anything they need we're going to be there for them... until we know more it's tough to comment on it".
More when it comes available.
