It's Batshit Crazy That Geno Smith Is Tweeting Out 'Free 3' And People Are Actually Defending Russ Wilson Like He Hasn't Sucked The Last 2 Years

I understand players wanna go to bat for other players and all that, but what the fuck is this? Free 3? I didn't know Russ Wilson was being held hostage in Denver. Must have missed when he forced his way out of Seattle and ended up in Denver. Must have missed the massive contract he signed. Must have missed Russ being a bad quarterback. All of those things happened shockingly without Russ Wilson ever once being held hostage. 

Free him indeed. 

Plus, does Geno know that's quite literally happening with Russ getting benched? He's going to get cut so they can save money and move on from him. He can sign somewhere in free agency. I mean if Geno really wants Russ freed, maybe bring him back to Seattle? Wonder if Geno will still be saying this if that would happen. I just can't believe we reached the point where people are actually defending Russ Wilson. We all watched the same games, right? 

If you want to argue that the Broncos as a whole fucked up, sure. No brainer. Look at the coaches they hired, look at the trade they made, they are dumb enough to give Russ the contract they did. But anyone saying free him like he's not the major problem is fucking hysterical. I don't even know how we got to saying this as a society. We need to stop it. Not every athlete needs freed. Sometimes they just suck. 

Why would anyone feel bad for Russ? I feel bad for guys trying to be on the Broncos and have success. They have to deal with cap space hell. They have to deal with lack of draft picks. They have to deal with a dumb front office. But at no point should people be defending Russ Wilson. He's fucking sucked.
