Frank Thomas Wants You To Know He Is Alive And Well, Not Dead Like Fox News Said He Was
End of the year means we get the in memoriam segments on the shows as we remember those who have died this year. Video is usually a tear jerker and filled with a few "oh man, I forgot they died this year" comments, but there is one that you always have to fact check.
Well someone at Fox News didn't do a great job checking because they decided to kill White Sox legend Frank Thomas. They included the Hall of Fame slugger in their 'in memoriam' segment this morning when they obviously meant to show respect to the 3-time All-Star from the Pirates who happens to share the same name who died in January at the age of 93. The video caught a lot of us off guard and immediately "Frank Thomas" started trending on Twitter as people hurried to check if The Big Hurt was still kicking. Luckily for us he is and he took to his own twitter to let us know he's all good.
He's all good! He looks fantastic as well. I've never seen someone more alive than Frank Thomas. A simple mixup! But one that can't be made. I mean how do you mistake this Frank Thomas below....
For this Frank Thomas…..
I mean I can kind of see a resemblance, but you'd assume that SOMEONE would have noticed that as it was being put together. But again, Big Hurt is alive and kicking and I'm sure we'll see him pitching some new product soon. Long live Frank, but also RIP to the other Frank Thomas, have to show our respects. Fact checking is very important people, very important.
