Lebron Threw Another Temper Tantrum After His Potential Game Tying Three Was Counted As A Two

Hello everyone, I hope you've been having a fantastic holiday break so far. Who knows what day it is at this point, but I have to say I've enjoyed myself. It's always nice to reset, spend time with people you care about, catch up on some sleep and then watch an ungodly amount of sports. For me, that means as much basketball as my eyeballs can handle. So far, things have been pretty great in the NBA. Every night is something worth watching. Well last night I would like to bring you a little Saturday night chaos. While you were probably out living your life, we had some drama out in the Twin Cities.

At that point, it felt like the Wolves needed some sort of response after AD had just made a three of his own to bring the Lakers within 4. This is the moment where you could use that knockout punch, and like he's done so many times before, that's exactly what Mike Conley provided. Now up 7 with 35 seconds left, the Lakers call timeout and as a Wolves fan you probably thought the game was over.

Not even close. 

After a very ill advised Jaden McDaniels tech, even if it was a soft tech you still can't get one in that spot. A Reaves FT brought the Lakers within 4 at 103-107 with about 31 seconds left, and after LeBron's AND1 FT things were now just a 1 possession game. From up 7 to up 3 in 4 seconds. After a Mike Conley missed three, we had chaos

Quick, was that a two or a three? It's about as close as we're gonna get, so let's check the tape. From the video, it looks close, and my initial thought was he was behind the line. It's just really hard to tell from the normal camera angle with that type of thing. You could be a centimeter behind and it's impossible to notice. So let's check the zoomed in replay. There's this angle

Which clearly shows LeBron behind the line. If this was what the replay team was looking at, it should have been a three and not a two. That's clearly behind the line, and I say that as someone who despises LeBron and the Lakers even more. Unfortunately, LeBron had to rise up for that shot. When he does that, things change

That's a two. It's KD all over again. That big toe is touching the line. So, despite LeBron crying (again), it does look like the league was right about this play. You don't get awarded 3 points when you aren't behind the three point line, even if you're LeBron James. This of course reminds me of the last time we saw LeBron act this way

For a second there it looked like we were going to have another sleepless night situation on our hands, but the evidence is pretty clear once you look at everything. The Lakers and LeBron still had a chance in the final moments but ultimately couldn't get it done. Shit happens. Get behind the line next time and this doesn't happen. Instead, the Lakers end up losing by 2, the Wolves move to a VERY impressive 24-7 (14-1 at home) and suddenly the Lakers (3-7 over their last 10) are fighting for their lives to stay in the Play In. Life in the NBA sure comes at you fast.
