'I'm Gone. Ain't No Ifs, Ands or Buts': Alabama LB Dallas Turner Wasted NO TIME Declaring for the NFL Draft After the Crimson Tide Got Knocked Out of the CFP

Damn, Dallas Turner didn't even wait until his teammates got their pads off after a heartbreaking overtime loss in the College Football Playoff to publicly declare that he was bolting for the NFL. Turner couldn't wait for someone to ask him that question. He had that answer locked and loaded.

It's no surprise that the surefire first round pick is declaring for the NFL Draft, but I don't remember a player ever making that announcement so unequivocally in the immediate aftermath of a season-ending loss. There are guys in the locker room trying to figure out how in the world Alabama blew its seven-point fourth quarter lead to Michigan and Turner already had his street clothes on and was giving quotes to the media that basically amounted to, "Damn, that really sucks for y'all."

I don't even necessarily think there's anything wrong with what Turner did, it's just funny and something I don't remember ever seeing before. I actually respect Turner for not pretending this loss tore him up and might lead him to coming back to take care of "unfinished business" or anything. He just said that was that and he's outta there.

Waiting until tomorrow might not have killed him, though.
