Jimmy Kimmel Just Threatened To Sue Aaron Rodgers For "Endangering His Family" After The Jets' QB Insinuated Kimmel Was On The Soon-To-Be-Released Jeffrey Epstein Client List

Daily Mail -  Jimmy Kimmel has furiously denied Aaron Rodgers' suggestion he will be on the forthcoming list of Jeffrey Epstein's associates, calling the NFL star a 'a**hole' and 'soft-brained wacko'.

A list of disgraced financier Epstein's associates from court filings is set to be made public in the first few days of 2024 and Rodgers claimed that late show host Kimmel could be among the names on the list.

The late-night TV host furiously took to X and said Rodgers' claims had 'put my family in danger'.

He posted: 'Dear Aashole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any “list” other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality.

'Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.'

During his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, Rodgers began offering a conspiracy theory on the colors of the NFL's Super Bowl emblems predicting the teams who will play the big game that season.

The panel were left slightly confused by the 40-year-old's long-winded explanation and co-host AJ Hawk interrupted to jokingly ask if it involved the Epstein list.

'There's a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are hoping that list doesn't come out,' the quarterback responded.

McAfee then joked Rodgers had been 'waiting in his wine cellar' for the release of the court documents.

'I'll tell you what, if that list comes out, I will definitely be popping some sort of bottle,' Rodgers added.

Woo wee. Now it's a party.

Giphy Images.

I used to love Jimmy Kimmel. Way, way back in the day. When he and Adam Carolla were like the two bad boys of cable television with The Man Show.

It was one of those things that was before its time, yet would never have ever been allowed to air in today's age because of how fast the outrage police would try to cancel it.

I cried like a bitch when Kimmel went on air after his son was born with a life-threatening heart defect, and Kimmel told his family's story, and used the platform to encourage people to donate to children's hospitals that help save the lives of kids like his son across the country.

Back when Bill Simmons didn't have 50 mediocre podcasts he devoted all his time to, and actually wrote awesome articles on a regular basis, he used to write about his Sunday afternoons over Jimmy Kimmel's house with the random groups of friends, celebs, and football addicts who would gather to watch the days games on Jimmy's incredible setup, while Kimmel would prepare amazing feasts for his guests all day.

By all accounts, Kimmel seemed like the fucking man.

I fully realize that people grow and change over time (hopefully), but seeing what Kimmel has become today, where he uses his platform nowadays to take shots at celebrities, athletes, politicians, and the public who he disagrees with is just cringe. It's something The Man Show Jimmy would rip to absolute shreds in a monologue piece, followed by a sketch, followed by him pounding a frosty pint and telling the Juggies to take it away.

Aaron Rodgers starting off his New Year, going on his buddy Pat's show, going off on a tangent about Super Bowl logos and the NFL conspiring to fix the big game, and then jumping feet first right into the Epstein List FINALLY being released- allegedly, supposedly, hopefully, tomorrow (including the names of former US Presidents whose names appear more than 50 times in the documents) - was a strange choice. Saying he'll be popping bottles as a long list of rich, powerful, sick, and disgusting men are outed is even stranger. Going out of his way to name-drop Jimmy Kimmel as being one of the famous people "most afraid" of being named might be the strangest part, until you remember that, as I just mentioned above, Kimmel regularly uses his late-night, Disney-owned and produced talk-show, to go after guys like Aaron.

(Important to note that Disney owns Kimmel's show, and also owns the struggling ESPN still, which also owns McAfee's show, which seems to be one of the few bright spots for the network of late. With Rodgers being a regular on the show, and also a huge ratings driver and close friend of McAfee's, wouldn't be surprised to see Kimmel walk this all back quickly.)

I'm not one of those people who thinks athletes need to "shut up and dribble". I've actually done a complete 180 on Aaron Rodgers since he left Green Bay, come out of the shadows the past few years, been way more accessible, and a lot more outspoken on a lot of different issues. Just because he's a professional athlete doesn't mean he's dumb, and his opinion doesn't matter. I'm actually really impressed with how intelligent, well-read, and professional he comes off on most things he speaks out about. He's also got balls and isn't afraid to speak his mind. Good and bad.

As much as Kimmel's biggest detractors might call him crazy for even dignifying Rodgers' comments with a response, (and a quote tweet at that), what can you expect? Of all the long, long, list of 177 names we're supposedly getting unsealed this week, for Rodgers to mention Kimmel being the most afraid of the list being released were fighting words.

All in all, this is a bizarre situation, and having Kimmel vs. Rodgers as the first official public beef of 2024 is not what anybody cares to see. And it is just distracting everybody from the real topic everybody should be focused on and talking about.

Clean it up fellas.

p.s.- been going back and forth today on what I want my first blog of the new year to be. definitely didn't think it would be this, but jimmy kimmel draws the hate clicks, and Aaron Rodgers grabs the love clicks so here we are.
