It's Finally Time To Bring Bill Belichick Home

I genuinely feel bad for Bill Belichick. This man has wasted so many incredible years of his life coaching football just because he was really good at it. 38 years coaching in the NFL, and 24 of those years as the head coach of the New England Patriots. I mean sure, he's been a part of 8 Super Bowl champion teams, 6 of them with the Patriots. Most Super Bowl wins total, most Super Bowls as a head coach, most Super Bowl appearances, just truly the greatest coach the NFL has ever seen.

But for all those years, Bill Belichick was living a lie. That's not what he wanted to be doing, he was just really good at it. Bill Belichick's first true love was the sport of lacrosse. It may be the sport of the future to some, but it's the sport of Bill's past. He's the man he is today because of lacrosse. But apparently you could make a better living coaching in the NFL as opposed to coaching professional lacrosse over the past 24 years.

The times? Well they are a changin'. The NFL will be dead in 50 years once they get sued into oblivion for all the brain injuries. What good will all those NFL coaching records be then? There's nothing left for Bill Belichick to accomplish in the NFL. But the PLL? Well that'll be the #1 pro sports league in America in 50 years. Bill Belichick clearly cares about his legacy. So if he wants to be remembered as one of the all-time greatest coaches in sports history, he needs to start building his legacy as a lacrosse coach.

It's time to bring Bill home. Whether it's with the Boston Cannons or any other team in the league right now, just give the man a locker room full of guys. Let that man finally turn his passion into his job. If anybody has earned it, it's Bill.

Or at the very least, keep him out of Dallas.
