This Detroit Pistons Subreddit Idea To "Just Start Punching People" Might Just Be The Out Of Box Thinking That Could Turn Their Season Around

You may have heard, but the Detroit Pistons stink. Don't let their recent win over the Wizards (who also stink) fool you, this team is very, very bad

When a year like this happens, it's pretty clear that it might be time to think outside the box when it comes to finding ways to turn things around. Clearly Monty Williams has no clue what to do and I think the graphic above does a great job of explaining that whatever he is doing isn't working. 

Thankfully for Monty and the Pistons, their fans are ready to do the hard work and come up with something different to try. 

Now, is this the most logical plan you've ever heard? Of course not. But let me ask you this. How has operating with logic worked out for the Pistons so far? When you're 4-37, I feel like that's the perfect time to throw logic out the window and try something unconventional. Why not?

I will say, given the whole Malice At The Palace thing, maybe James Wiseman punching Luka Doncic isn't the greatest idea. One could argue the plan should be running an actual offense or trying to play a lick of defense, but at least this is a more realistic option for the team compared to what we've seen previously on the Pistons' Reddit

I look at it like this. Draymond Green has been punching people for basically a decade and the Warriors just so happened to become a Dynasty. Can any of us say with certainty those punches didn't play a role? Sure, the logical part of your brain says "no, it was Steph Curry", but we've already established that we're done being logical in this blog. Adam Silver has already set the precedent that the league doesn't really care if you punch people, so I can see the appeal.

If you're the Pistons and you're looking for anything to turn things around, I feel like you at least have to discuss it. Maybe you don't go as far as breaking someone's arm or leg, but a Draymond style punch? Where it sort of looks like he's making a basketball play? That might do the trick. At the same time, I'm not sure what that trick actually is because in reality the talent on the roster will still stink, but at least you're showing a willingness to try something different.

Perhaps the craziest part of this Pistons season isn't their record, it's the fact that they STILL don't view themselves as sellers at this year's deadline. That is insane to me. This is a lost season, chances are next year will be more of the same. Holding on to their high priced vets who could definitely bring them back some valuable rebuilding assets seems like the exact opposite of what they should be doing.

This is why the owner needs to step in and say the time has come to just let Reddit run things. It's obvious that the people in those positions at the moment have no clue what they're doing.
