Dan Campbell Always Knew: Called His Shot Three Years Ago TODAY About Biting Kneecaps, Now He's Got The Lions In The NFC Title Game

I know it's easy to say what coach wouldn't say something like this. I'm not talking about biting off kneecaps, that's strictly a Dan Campbell thing. Obviously every coach who goes to a loser franchise talks about turning it around making it matter. Remember how much everyone mocked him? People swore all over the place it couldn't work with someone like that. He'd fail because he talked like this. He'd fail because who the hell bites kneecaps? Now?

It's all different. We know what happened today and that's just who the Lions are. Face a little adversity and end up winning. I still say last year's final game of the season set it all up. It's why the NFL always needed a Dan Campbell around:

The Lions could have rolled over and died last year when they were officially eliminated right before the Sunday Nigh game. They went out and ruined the Packers season and openly talked shita bout how they wanted to. Precisely what you should be doing. I don't care if you're eliminated or not. That shit all pays off, especially when you're building something.

Like I said, the Lions were the loser franchise. They never had a shot to win the Super Bowl. They always had the stars retire early or the star quarterback basically demand to go somewhere else and then win a Super Bowl. But now? They have a guy who called his shot and a quarterback who owns the city. We're at borderline statue talk and I don't think I'm exaggerating this with the Lions.

What a run that's still going. Fitting it's three years to the day of biting kneecaps.
