And Just Like That, The Bill Belichick To The PLL Rumors Grow Even Stronger

The 2024 NFL head coaching cycle has come and gone just like that, barring any ridiculous last minute firings of either Andy Reid or Kyle Shanahan. The Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, and Washington Commanders all made changes at the top of their coaching staff over the past couple of weeks and not one of those teams made the call to hire Bill Belichick.

The greatest coach of our lifetime is officially unemployed for the 2024 season. 7 NFL franchises looked this man in the eyes and told him his services aren't necessary. The NFL has kicked Bill Belichick to the curb and said that Dan Quinn was more deserving of a head coaching gig in this league. Wildly disrespectful to a man who has won 8 Super Bowls in his career.

If I'm Bill, I say to hell with it all. I know the idea is floating around that Bill Belichick will just be waiting in the shadows throughout the 2024 season for that first coach to get fired. But do you really want to stick around in a league that chose Dan Quinn over you? Who needs the NFL? Especially when in 20 years from now, the NFL will only be the 2nd largest major professional sports league in America.

2nd behind the Premier Lacrosse League.

It may have been in jest just a few short weeks ago to suggest Bill Belichick make his triumphant return to the sport he truly loves and start to coach lacrosse. But after the 2024 NFL coaching cycle just closed up, there could and should be some truth behind that jest. No more freezing cold January games. No more dealing with Roger Goodell's bullshit. Get to be a part of one of the fastest growing leagues in the country.

Make the call, Paul!
