The Foligno Brothers Say They Aren't Starting A Podcast Anytime Soon, But Their Wives "Are Hotter Than Taylor Swift"
Nick and Marcus Foligno may not be quite as household names as Jason and Travis Kelce. But these are a couple of good ol' boys who grew up in the game of hockey while their old man, Mike Foligno, was playing his NHL career and also coaching in the AHL and OHL. Their old man played over a thousand games in the NHL with his best years coming in Buffalo where he wore the 'C' for 3 seasons.
Nick Foligno wore the 'C' for years with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and now he has an 'A' on his sweater with the Chicago Blackhawks. Marcus Foligno has had an 'A' on his sweater for a few years now with the Minnesota Wild. Their old man was one of the most respected men in the league, and these two beauties followed right in that path.
I know everyone and their mom these days is starting a new podcast, but if the Foligno brothers started a show just chopping it up and occasionally talking about the life of NHL sons who eventually became NHL players themselves, I'd sure as shit listen to that. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like we'll be getting that show anytime soon.
Let me tell ya, fellas--THAT right there is how you get yourself at least a year's supply of fuck ups without getting put in the dog house back home. Nationally televised broadcast and you let the country know your wives are hotter than T Swift. That's how you know these guys are natural born leaders. Always putting the team first, whether it's the team on the ice or the team back at home.
And, respectfully speaking, they're not lying. Not that I'd ever rate women strictly based upon their appearances or anything like that. But as a journalist, I have the obligation to the American people to fact check these sort of things. And when the Foligno brothers say their wives are hotter than Taylor Swift, the facts are the facts.
Also, you love to see both brothers get themselves on the scoresheet in one way or another during the Foligno Bowl last night. First up we had brother Marcus chucking bombs with Jarred Tinordi in one of the longer fights you'll see in hockey these days. Both boys throwing heavy rights, and the linesmen doing a great job of just letting the fellas go until they ran out of gas.
And then while Marcus was in the box for fighting, brother Nick put one in the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
Tie game. Halfway through the 3rd period. Someone needs to step up and be a hero.
Bang. Marcus Foligno game winner. Goodnight Jim Kyte.
What a game. What a family.
