I Interviewed Tigers Pitcher Tarik Skubal (And He's A Certified Dude)

Don't let me get hot, man. This was so much fun. I feel like I'm in my element when I talk about this kind of stuff. I love baseball, and I love the Tigers, and I had an absolute blast chatting it up with Tarik Skubal during episode 2 of"  'Chris and Company." Expectations are reasonably high for Skubal this year. He finished last season winning American League Pitcher of the Month in September. It seems like he's finally healthy and ready to deal. Watching this interview, I came away feeling two things. Number one is that Skubal is what I expected him to be; he's very intelligent, well-spoken, and confident. But even beyond that, I came away from this interview feeling very good about the direction the Detroit Tigers are going in as an organization. They've finally been brought into the 21st century in regard to pitching analytics and data. I could've listened to Skubal talk about the vertical movement on his changeup all day.

Can the Tigers please be good this year? Please, please, please, please, please. They have a likable team. I'm rooting for these guys. It's a young, hungry group. They play in the worst division in baseball. It's not out of the realm of possibility that we could see them in October. For once in a blue moon, can they catch a couple of breaks? It kind of starts with this guy. If Skubal breaks out the way that we think he's going to, this could be a team that could legitimately contend and fight or something. This will not be the last time that I beg for them to be successful in 2024. The show is off to a good start, and I'm really looking forward to doing more interviews. I appreciate Tarik coming on.
