The Rumor That Just Won't Die - Russell Wilson Reportedly Had An 'Exploratory Meeting' With The Giants Today

Oh God, is this destiny? Is this fate? I don't know how much I really believe in those things but Russell Wilson and the Giants have been linked to each other since like 2017, if not earlier. But that was Seattle Russell Wilson. That's before we got to know him even more as a weirdo and part of the worst trade in NFL history (or 2nd worse, pending what you think of the Herschel Walker debacle). It's no secret the Giants want a new QB

But Russ? This guy!

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for signing someone but the key is to eventually find a quarterback that can play multiple years. Second key is not making the same mistake and reaching for a quarterback like they did with Daniel Jones. I still can't believe we let the good defensive Josh Allen go. He was right there damnit!

I know the whole thing is sign Russ for next to nothing, see what happens for a year and adjust. But I'm not ready to be memed to death because Russ is the ultimate weirdo. This isn't an Eli situation where he's won a couple Super Bowls and made some funny faces or decided to throw it lefty. This is like when we had Kanell, Kent Graham and that ragtag group before Kerry Collins.

I just can't believe we're at this point again. It's 2024, Russ and the Giants were supposed to be the couple that never existed but always wondered what if. I can't have it in 2024. I just can't. Hell, you can barely even tank in football. Look at last year. Everyone made fun of the Texans for passing up on the 1 pick by winning the last game of the year in 2022-23 and got CJ Stroud and the playoffs. It makes no sense! Just go to Pittsburgh, Russ.
