Warrior: Vermont Head Coach John Becker Separated His Shoulder On Thursday, Wins The America East Title Coaching In A Sling
Those sidewalks outside of Patrick Gym will get you! This is a man who runs Vermont and even he can't avoid an injury. That said, he showed up on the sidelines like this today:
A pro's pro to still wear his suit. I've actually known John for about 20 years now (shout out Catholic) and if he thought that suit was lucky, he'd be wearing that if his entire body was in a sling. At the same time, he should show up for his press conference like this:
I don't think there's a debate now. He's gotta wear the sling next week. Becker basically wins the America East every single year. Just go ahead and put them in the America East title game and likely play it at home. I love that the tradition for this Saturday every year is just starting my day off with an 11am tip in Vermont. Low key great place to watch a game too. Something romantic about a conference title game being held in what's essentially a high school gym and the season ends in a football stadium. But Becker hasn't won an NCAA Tournament game yet. Gotta do it wearing a sling. It worked for Ron Hunter
This is how you battle in March.
