The World Needs These Sofa Beds That Are Being Floated Around As The Future Of Airplane Seats, Would Stop Brawls In The Skies Immediately

Hell yes, I catch myself way too often reading shit like this and looking into it. Why? Because flying is a pain in the ass. Don't get me wrong, it's still simple to do for the most part, but there are far too many entitled assholes in the skies. People who think flying is a right only for them and become a me vs the world mentality. People have no idea how to board, how to get through security, how planes work and what not. It's brutal out there most days.

But this? This changes at least one part of flying. The reclining rule. It's arguably the most heated debate when it comes to flying. Are you a dickhead if you recline your seat? I will never recline my seat when I'm sitting with the fine people of coach. I just sit there, plus I have no problem falling asleep sitting up. It's a gift as a father of 2. You give me a chance to sit down with the peace and quiet of whatever is in my headphones and I'm gonna fall asleep in roughly 10 minutes.

These sofa bed styles though prevent that argument:

Flyers access the latter manually similar to a hotel sofa bed.

That right there is what we like to call problem solved. No arguing about reclining. No hitting the person's knees behind you. No eye for an eye because you pissed someone off. I know these are for business class, but what if we made the whole plane out of couches? Just eliminate the brawling over reclining seats right off the bat. Sure, there would still be fights but we'd solve problem 1 right then and there.

I've been lucky enough to fly in the fully lie down first class seats. They are great. But you're still in a seat. Let my dumb brain be tricked into a sofa bed. It's incredibly easy to fall asleep on a couch, mostly a Sunday routine here. I just need one of these things to finally come true. Every year we get cockteased about new seats for planes or new ideas. Someone step up and make it a reality already. I'm not rich, I'm sitting with the regular people. But now all I can think about is a plane full of sofa beds, then all we'd do is fight about windows and if the shade goes up or down.
