Conan O'Brien Returned To The Tonight Show For The First Time Since Getting Fired 14 Years Ago And Immediately Called Out How Weird It Felt

Source - He found himself on the other side of the desk. Former late-night TV personality Conan O’Brien returned to “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday for the first time since exiting the job in 2010.

O’Brien, who was on the show to promote his upcoming Max series “Conan O’Brien Must Go,” spent much of his time reminiscing with host Jimmy Fallon, 49, about his time on the show.

“It’s weird to come back,” O’Brien, 60, told Fallon. “I haven’t been in this building for such a long time, and I haven’t been on this floor in forever.”

When asked by Fallon if he was having flashbacks to his brief time as host, O’Brien stated that he did indeed have “strange memories” of the studio.

And that, my friends, is why Conan O'Brien is Conan O'Brien. God I miss him. I know he has the podcast and the other shows, but prime Conan was a force to be reckoned with. He was the last late night guy who was quick enough and comfortable enough to go off script. That's what made him so special. He was naturally funny. Still is. The perfect blend of whit, sarcasm and the occasional understated physical humor. If I had to rank my all time late night hosts it would go as follows...

  1. Johnny Carson (has to be number one)
  2. Conan O'Brien
  3. David Lettermen
  4. Everybody else.

You can watch his entire interview with Fallon here. Having said that, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the greatest "Conan returns" interview of all time. The year was 2012 and it was him, Letterman, and an unspoken hatred of Jay Leno live from the Ed Sullivan Theater. Must watch stuff for any fan of late night. They spend the entire show just ripping Jay to shreds. Here it is…

Conan's actually has a new show coming out on Max on April 14th that's going to be equally as amazing. From my understanding he basically travels around the globe and learns about different cultures/traditions etc.. It's called "Conan O'Brien Must Go."

Anyway just wanted to write this blog to remind the world that Conan is the goat. Check out the interview above if you have time. Thanks for reading.
