Nothing but Respect for Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser Making a 'Sports and Economic Development Visit' to Augusta, Georgia This Weekend

This is so ridiculous and egregious that you have no choice but to respect it. Washington, D.C. mayor Muriel Bowser put out a press release that all but explicitly says she's attending The Masters and found a way to make taxpayers foot the bill. That's the dream, baby.

I'd love to get a more detailed look into what goes on during this supposed "sports and economic development visit" to Augusta this weekend. Is she talking to the Green Jackets' front office at the Hooters on Washington Rd or would I be correct in assuming these fake meetings might be taking place over a few Azaleas at the ANGC clubhouse? I would appreciate if the mayor's office would keep us updated with a more hour-by-hour itinerary.

All I ask of our politicians is if and when you're going to be corrupt, just have it be for something cool. "Yeah, I'm going to The Masters and you're going to pay for it. Deal with it." I can respect that.

Similarly to Mayor Bowser, I am currently looking into a blog and podcasting enrichment summit in St. Lucia next month. Might need to get that on the desks of the higher-ups and see if we can get that expensed.
