THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Leo & Jennifer Lawrence Have Been Cast As Frank & Ava Gardner In A Sinatra Biopic Directed By MARTY SCORSESE
OH! MY! GOD!
Quite literally on this day last week I was hanging out at Johnny's Hideaway in Atlanta with my buddy Tom Mullens who just happens to be the director of Sundae Conversation! Now Johnny's Hideaway is on my list of best and most underrated bars in this great country of ours due to it basically transporting you back into the golden age of Hollywood every time you enter the establishment. No drinks or phones on the dance floor. Dimly-lit. Cheap drinks. It rocks, BUT the coolest part of it just may be the 'Sinatra Room' which is where Tom & I were residing with some martinis last week. As we sat there looking at all these insane pieces of Sinatra memorabilia including photos with Elvis, magazine covers, albums, etc I could not stop saying HOW THE HELL hasn't there been a Sinatra biopic yet with all the musical biopics being made nowadays?
And now this thing comes out of the abyss and we have maybe the greatest trio assembled ever to do this thing? We have Martin fucking Scorsese which truly gets me rock hard thinking about just how good all of the mafia stuff in this motion picture will now be (notice I'm saying motion picture out of respect to Marty), Leonardo DiCaprio starring as Frank fucking Sinatra, and Jennifer Lawrence as Ava Gardner? I'm sitting here at my desk laughing to myself at just how perfect this scenario is. I'd also guess, much like the Irishman, Marty's going to pop off on some anti-aging for Leo to play young Frank which should be great. The technology is 5 years more advanced as well! This truly may be the most excited I've been for a movie since the Entourage movie.
