F1's Miami Grand Prix Was Charging $190 Each For Orders Of Chicken Wings And Fruit Platters This Weekend
So the whole world is up in arms about this photo, but to be transparent, after further research, these prices come from inside the Hard Rock Beach Club Deck. Tickets to be in this location only cost a mere $1,750 to attend during F1's three day Miami Grand Prix event this weekend. That's right....you had to pay nearly two grand to be allowed to pay these prices, which might actually make this worse. And I know people like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos were in there, so it's not like money was an issue for them....but like, how do you get away with charging these prices? Do billionaires even look at price? Maybe not, but there had to be someone in there that thought $180 for the nachos was a little steep. And I need to see what a $190 "Crispy Wing Board" looks like. It better have, at minimum, 75 of the crispiest, meatiest chicken wings this country has to offer on there, but my guess is that it had 12 at the max. And can I get a glimpse of the $190 "Fruit Refresher"? That could be anything from a finely decorated fruit platter to a plastic cup filled with fruit they got from the grocery store next door for $8.
I get that these people are rich, but are people really that rich to where these drink prices don't catch your eye?
$5 bottles of water and $560 bottles of Titos. I'm not sure which deal is worse.
Meanwhile, over at Nascar.....
6 hotdogs with chili, slaw, onions, and mustard for…..$11? That is quite possibly the best deal on the entire planet. Not to mention that at most Nascar tracks, you have the ability to bring in coolers of beer FOR FREE!
Look, I have no dog in the fight, but my God does Nascar seem like an exciting, fan-friendly event while F1 appears to….not be. I guess it's just different business strategies and attracting different clientele, but you'd find me dead before spending $190 on a fruit platter.
