I Refuse To Believe The Knicks Were Corny Enough To Dress In All Black For The Pacers' Funeral And Lose

I refuse to believe this is real. Dressing up for your opponent's funeral? AND LOSING? The tough guy Knicks would never resort to corny schticks. This has to just be a weird coincidence. Plus, you wouldn't hear "wear all black" and then put on a white tee. The literal opposite of black on the color spectrum. Corny and stupid? The team that was inspired to win by a locker room fart? No way, not the New York Knicks. Divincenzo and Thibs are simply wearing Knicks warm up gear, not all black. Absolutely no chance the Knicks did this on purpose.

Wow, Look at me. Defending the Knicks. All Knicks fans have done this entire series is call the Pacers corny frontrunners. When the Knicks and their fans resort to name calling, I'm the bigger man. Keep in mind - If Haliburton got the team to wear all black for a series, and the Pacers even pulled off a win, it wouldn't matter, he'd be flamethrowered endlessly online for the rest of time about how it was corny. So the Knicks who pride themselves on being a tough, no nonsense team, would never in a million years do this. I don't even know where they'd get the idea.

Oh. Well, the 2013 team was the old Knicks. They say history repeats itself, but this Knicks team is different. Some people online are saying this is the equivalent of the Texans showing up in Foxborough with their letterman jackets on, ready to end the Pat's dynasty - only to lose 42-14. I'm not saying that, because I don't think the Knicks actually wore all black on purpose, but some out there are throwing that cheap comparison around.

Sunday at 3:30 we get the two best words in sports - Game 7. Even better, Game 7 at The Garden. Last time the Knicks were in a Game 7 at the Garden, it was the 1995 semifinals, and New York lost to Indiana. Let's hope history does repeat itself, and the Pacers bury this team.
