FREE SCOTTIE: We Finally Have New Video Of Scottie's Interaction With The Cop Who Arrested Him, Somehow He's Still Expected To Be In Court In June
You want to talk about a pointless press conference - well, we just watched it. Louisville's mayor and chief of police just delivered 10 minutes of nothing. They talked about how important transparency from the police report and video is but they mentioned there's no video of the full incident and are moving forward with the charges. Oh, they also reviewed the cop who arrested Scottie for not using his bodycam. Great job all around!
Nothing like holding a press conference that says hey, our police officer fucked up. Our bad there. We know it's not a good look, you know it's not a good look, but, hey, we like the spotlight. We're going to keep moving forward with this anyways.
I just don't get the point of this press conference. You have everyone tuned in, expecting some sort of clarity and all you did was say ... nothing. I mean, they brought up how important transparency was and then didn't take questions or say anything of substance. It sounded like a campaign speech more than anything else. It's worth noting that Scottie's lawyer is keeping the same tune of what he's been saying:
There were two videos released that we haven't seen yet. They don't show the incident and really don't show anything. You can find them here, note one is like an hour long. Good luck with that.
Again, I don't know how you feel like this is a success with no video of the full incident and everyone talking about how the cop is worried about his $80 pants. What are we doing here? This is just a shitshow through and through. It's simply looking like a joke the more shit comes out about the arrest and the incident. You don't see a cop getting dragged like he claimed. You don't see Scottie speeding all the way around or doing anything insane. You don't see potentially shit covered pants that are ruined beyond repair. You just see a car turn and stop.
Good news is the cop has to get some counseling or something for not doing his job right.
