Some Luck: Hungary Is Investigating A U-14 Soccer Team Who Won 43-1, The Score They Just So Happened To Need To Win The League
Now just wait a goddamn second here. People say they want scoring to go up in soccer and we finally get a lights out team, maybe they figured it all out for 90 minutes. We haven't thought about that have we? Sure, 43 goals is impressive for a month's worth of game, but anyone who played U-14 knows there are always dominant teams. Just because they needed to win by 42 to win the league shouldn't be the focus point here. Plus, we don't have video, because, you know, it's U-14 soccer in Hungary. Maybe the goalie sucked, we don't know the whole story here!
I always laugh at these ridiculous investigations that happen like once a year or so. How do you think you can get away with it being this obvious? Oh you needed to win by 42 to win the league? Might as well win on the dot. Everyone scores 43 times in a game. I do love the fact that the other team was able to get 1. Make it a little more realistic instead of 42-0. That would just be crazy.
I know soccer is nuts in Europe and people do weird shit all the time. But come on, we're talking U-14 here. Finishing second sucks, but sometimes you can't make up a 42-goal difference. Think most people understand that. Gotta know what the people were thinking on the gameplan to get away with it. We're just going to need the video of the match here before we say something fishy happened.
