Scooter Braun Is Officially Retiring From Music Management

Billboard- Scooter Braun announced his retirement from artist management on Monday (June 17), officially putting a cap on a 23-year run during which he has guided the careers of some of the biggest pop stars of the 21st century, including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, J Balvin, Carly Rae Jepsen, The Kid Laroi and others.

“I have been blessed to have had a ‘Forrest Gump’-like life while witnessing and taking part in the journeys of some of the most extraordinarily talented people the world has ever seen,” Braun said in a statement issued on social media. “I’m constantly pinching myself and asking ‘how did I get here?’ And after 23 years this chapter as a must manager has come to an end.”

AND I'LL SAY, GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!!

Finally after months of speculation, in the wake of a bunch of Scooter Braun's top earning clients (Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato) all seemingly dropping him out of nowhere, we finally have our answers. Scooter is DONE. RETIRED!!! OVER!!! Am I going to thank Taylor Swift for this? Of course. He was always going to retire one day but I like to believe that this seemingly early retirement was forced upon him by his bad reputation, brought to light by Taylor. Saving the world, one scumbag at a time!!!

Unfortunately, Scooter won't totally be going away - and I bet he's about to make a lot of money, too:

Braun said he’ll pivot to focus on his role as CEO of HYBE America, the company he joined after HYBE’s $1.05 billion acquisition of his Ithaca Holdings in 2021. Ithaca encompasses SB Projects as well as the country music-focused Big Machine Music Group.

CURSES!!!! A company with roots in KPop? FUCK. Whatever, like I said, good riddance. He can stop slithering around Hollywood and taking advantage of talented people. Hopefully his new employees/the company as a whole operate with a moral compass, and the days of gauging artists for all they've got in the early days of their career, are done.
