We Gotta Stop The NCAA Bozos From Ruining The NCAA Tournament - This Time It's A New Expansion Plan With More Play-In Teams

[Source] - The models would expand the 68-team field to 72 or 76 teams, with additional at-large selections as well as at least one additional First Four site. Any expansion would begin, at earliest, in the 2025-26 season. If the men’s event expands, the women’s tournament is likely to undergo a similar expansion.

Any new expansion to the field is expected to result in at least one additional First Four site, perhaps in a Western time zone. But expanding the tournament — by even just four teams — is a complex issue.

Officials are planning to retain the current 64-team bracket. With play-in game winners needing a spot in that structure, space has to be made. More 10-12 seeds, originally in the 64-team bracket, could find themselves having to win play-in games on that Tuesday or Wednesday to advance to the first round on Thursday or Friday.

Oh look, the bozos are back at it! Why? Why are we so hell bent on expanding the NCAA Tournament and ruining the greatest thing we have in this country. Because everyone in charge are a bunch of pussies and think that it's going to look good for them to make the Tournament going 16-15? Stop. Oh, wait! I know! It's because of money. Well, except this:

There’s something else, too: Will the additional games generate more revenue? It remains an unanswered question. CBS and Turner are not required to increase the amount in which they pay, according to those with knowledge of the contract.

So, what's the advantage there again for expansion? Because now the whole unit pay is going to go down even if you get more teams from your conference in the Tournament. Oh and don't worry I'm sure the top of the top will benefit and everyone else, mostly fans, will be annoyed. Welcome to what happens when you have dumb ideas.

I love the fact they are looking at needing to add play-in sites. You know, I may have a suggestion here. What if we have these teams, maybe we call it a conference, play a tournament to determine who gets in to the Tournament? We could put the Big East at MSG, SEC in Nashville, Big 10 in Chicago, ACC in Greensboro.

Just spit balling an idea here, then again EVERY TEAM ALREADY HAS A CHANCE TO MAKE THE NCAA TOURNAMENT. That's what these next two weeks and conference tournaments are all about. Had a shitty regular season? Get hot like Georgetown or Oregon State and get your own bid. All you have to do is win 3-4 games and you're in. Hell it doesn't even matter how big of a school you are. Eastern Kentucky has the same chance as Kentucky, UNC Asheville has the same chance as UNC. Just win your league and you get one of the 32 auto-bids.

We're going to get to the point where the regular season doesn't matter, conference tournaments don't matter and we're basically watching the Baseketball scene:

We must stick together and stop these assholes from ruining the Tournament.
