The Jets Have Found Haason Reddick.....In Japan Cosplaying

Back in March, Haason Reddick was traded to the New York Jets. He was a big pick-up for Joe Douglas, as Robert Saleh's defense lost Bryce Huff in the offseason to a big contract from the Eagles.

Since then, the Jets have seemingly not spoken to Haason. He missed mandatory media day on June 10th:

This was just a week removed from Robert Saleh saying he's had zero contact with Reddick the entire offseason:

It's clear that Reddick is doing this as a strategy to get a long-term contract with the Jets. Unfortunately, I thought this would be figured out by this point after making the move for him in late March. Reddick wanted out of Philly in order to get a contract, so trading for him was most likely done with that intention.

However, the Jets reportedly told Reddick that they wanted to wait until after the season for contract talks and he was okay with that. Now it seems like we are in the middle of a real "he said, she said." There is more from Rich Cimini below:

A "band-aid" contract is likely for Reddick, but if that isn't worked out and we are in a true hold-out situation, the 2024 Jets would take a significant hit. Not re-signing Bryce Huff was one thing, but also cutting John Franklin Myers after the Reddick trade would leave a team wanting to win the Super Bowl with a serious hole.
