Government Creates "Top Secret" Submarine Prototype Called The "Manta Ray" - Google Maps User Immediately Spots It Docked In California

Call me a simpleton, but I'm constantly fascinated by all the unknown fancy, high level, top secret technology our best scientists have developed over the years. For example, I'm certain we've figured out time travel, but keep that on lockdown where only a dozen or so people know of its existence. In terms of war, we've definitely got spy shit that would literally blow your mind. Anytime I hear about North Korea building a bomb or whatever China has going on, I laugh. We're 1000% miles ahead of those dumb dumbs, we just make it seem like we aren't. Trump the other day saying if he gets back in the White House he'll push forward our own Iron Dome as if we don't already have an elite version of that already.

The Manta Ray is the kind of weapon that gets me going. Look at that beauty above.

Now the fact that we know about the Manta Ray's existence hurts the secrecy of the weapon. The fact that I was able to pull up pictures from our backend catalog sorta defeats the purpose. But those are prototype images, not the real thing. Here's a little description of what this bad boy can do. Let's all geek out for a second.

(NY Post) Produced by Northrop Grumman as part of a US Navy project to develop long-range underwater weapons, Manta Ray is a sophisticated underwater drone capable of hibernating on the sea floor for “very long periods” without refueling. Its modular design enables it to be disassembled and transported in ordinary shipping containers, eliminating the necessity for dedicated port facilities. Defense analysts suspect the Navy’s push to develop drone technology is intended as a strategic counter to Russian and Chinese submarine operations, the outlet said.

“The craft is designed with several payload bays of multiple sizes and types to enable a wide variety of naval mission sets.”

Unmanned underwater drone that can hibernate on the sea floor for long periods of time? Can carry all sorts of weapons too. So sick. Last thing you want if you're an enemy is to find out the Manta Ray is on your ass. It's game over for you, bub.

You know what's not great, though? Some Average Joe spotting the Manta Ray on Google Maps, docked in California.

A top-secret US submarine prototype weapon called “Manta Ray” has been spotted by eagle-eyed Google Maps users and remains plainly visible to the internet public.

Satellite photos showing the “Star Wars”-looking vessel docked at Port Hueneme naval base in California went viral Sunday, its unmistakable profile standing out in stark contrast to its dockmates.

Really defeats the purpose of "Top Secret" when I can go on GOOGLE MAPS and find the damn thing. What are we doing guys? At least put a fucking tarp over it. I'm pretty disappointed there isn't a cloaking device on the Manta Ray if we're being honest. Fire whoever let this happen.

Spinzone for Team Go America? The government absolutely wanted us to find the Manta Ray out in the open. They say this is "top secret," but it's clearly not. We're telling our enemies the Manta Ray exists so they can fear the scary shit we're keeping under wraps. The intelligence government doesn't make mistakes like this on purpose. They wanted people to see this bad boy.

How cool would it be to find out all the advancing weaponry we've developed over the years? If Apple can make the strides they do with the watch and iPhone then I bet we have some insane shit being built in those underground labs. Cloning systems. Intergalactic communication. Time travel. Death rays. I wanna see it all.
