Welcome To The Game: Kevin Durant Thinks All The Trade Rumors Involving Him Only Comes Up So People Can Get Pageviews

Am I writing this to get pageviews? Of course, welcome to the content game. Now Kevin Durant being involved in trade rumors isn't that abnormal, I mean the guy is on his fourth team and is one the biggest names in the NBA. You put Kevin Durant might get traded and people get interested. That's what happens when you're one of the best scorers we've seen. But it is hilarious that arguably the most online player in the NBA is calling out pageviews. He should know that's half the game. Not to mention basically every player outside of 6 or 7 could have trade rumors. You always want to see what you can get back if you're not winning a title.

I do have to laugh considering this is a guy who announced his move to the Warriors with, you know, an article. That's a pageviews cheatcode right there. This is the content game though. You catch wind of a trade rumor, even if it's .0001% and you put something out there. Clicks come in, people get mad, rinse and repeat. There's something poetic about KD trying to call it out though.

I might have to test this theory out. We're basically in the dead time of sports. We're all waiting for the Olympics and football to start. Baseball is in the dog days of summer and some of you cheer for terrible teams and have nothing to watch on a daily basis. Euros and Copa America are wrapping up. Gregg Berhalter and Matt Crocker are still ruining US soccer for us fans. Might start a Kevin Durant trade rumor blog. Just see how many times you can hit the well before it dries up. That's right, folks. You heard it here. Trade rumor of Kevin Durant to the Knicks. Let's see what happens.

Now, all that said, this is just the worst part of the NBA now. The whole THIS LEAGUE shit. Just play basketball, I enjoy that. Don't get me wrong some of the dumb stories are great, but everything now with the NBA has to be some rumor or when is this player leaving or something along those lines. Give me basketball and I'll be happy, crazy though I know.
