Pat Monahan From Train Told Us Why He Loves The Yankees and Is Honored Anthony Rizzo Is Such A Huge Fan

A few weeks ago we sat down with Pat Monahan from the band Train to talk all about his love for sports (he's a big baseball and golf guy), his long career,

He's originally from Erie, PA, and he moved to California in the early 1990s and began his music career singing in coffeehouses. He co-founded Train in 1993, and the band achieved mainstream success with their 2001 album "Drops of Jupiter," which included the hit single of the same name. (And still bangs)

I told Pat that former Cubs first baseman and World Series hero Anthony Rizzo taught himself how to play piano by learning "Drops of Jupiter", and played it for his now wife to win her over and he couldn't have been happier. He told us that he's met Aaron Judge and members of the Yankees several times and is a big fan of theirs. I didn't hold that against him.

He is recognized for his philanthropic work and he does a ton supporting causes like music education and cancer research. He's a great guy and gave a great interview.
