While You Were Sleeping: Royal Troon Has Delivered Incredible Carnage To Start The Open, Bryson Getting His Ass Kicked, Justin Thomas Leading

Quick little summary here from Rory about the start to the Open. It's been brutal out there. I love every moment of it. The Open isn't supposed to be easy. You see those bunkers? You see the wind and changing weather? Give me the best of the best doing shit like Rory there. I mean, sure, I feel bad for him because of the US Open bad breaks and collapse. But also give me a leaderboard where the current top guys are at -2: 

One name you won't see there? Bryson. 

I'd kill for a 42. But I'm not Bryson. I know Bryson's game has changed and it's not just straight overpower a course. He's improved his short game and what not, but welcome to Open golf. Speaking of short games. Shout out Adam Scott: 

Dude played awesome at the Scottish Open last week and is starting well again this week. You have Justin Thomas sitting on top of the leaderboard. 

Say what you want about him but when you have a name like JT out there early eyeballs will come in. He obviously knows how to play the majors. His game, when form is there, can be effective on a day like today at Troon. Justin Rose a shot behind him along with guys like Hojgaard, Alex Noren, Chris Kirk and Maverick McNealy. Just 14 guys under par, obviously a ton still to go, but this is the way it should be. 

Just a quick update with The Open starting early. Obviously a long, long way to go. If you have kids, don't have kids, whatever, I suggest doing the early wake up tomorrow. Nothing better than a little morning golf, enjoy it.
