Kevin Durant Is The Latest NBA Star Who Sure Seems Pretty Pissed At Nike

I'm not exactly sure what the hell is going on, but for some reason, Nike seems to love pissing off some of the best basketball players on the planet.

It started with Jaylen Brown and Nike apparently playing a role in keeping him off Team USA

While it rules that NBA Champion Derrick White got the nod, I think most rational people will agree that not including Jaylen Brown given the run he just had on his way to a title is pretty insane. If you want to argue basketball fit and team need now with Kawhi injured, fine. Whatever.

It would be one thing if that's where things ended for Nike in terms of drama with NBA stars, but sure looks like they've pissed off another one. This time, it's Kevin Durant

OK, so what the hell is all this about? Well, yesterday Nike released their Olympic campaign, and guess who somehow was left out?

First off, this commercial/campaign is awesome. While that says Willem Dafoe narrated it, we all know that's actually the Green Goblin. Perfect choice in my opinion.

But aside from that, how the hell are you not including KEVIN DURANT in an ad like this? You got Wemby, you got LeBron, you have Giannis, shit even Kobe was all over the place! Kevin Durant is one of three NBA players ever to have a lifetime Nike deal (joining MJ and LeBron), he's been signed there since 2007 and has released like 15-16 versions of his shoe! If there is any current NBA player who should probably be in the biggest Nike ad of all time, I feel like Kevin Durant is a no brainer choice along with LeBron. You want to throw Wemby in there because he's the future? Sure. You want to pay tribute to Kobe? No problem there. But leaving out Kevin Durant seems insane to me and in my opinion, he has every right to be mad online about it.

Sure it may seem silly to some and like this is just another instance of KD being "too online" or whatever, but it's not like KD hasn't won. He has two rings (yes they actually count, stop being weird). He's a 2x Finals MVP! Meanwhile, Wemby hasn't won dick and he somehow gets in an ad all about winning? Make that make sense.

So just like I do with Jaylen Brown, I stand with KD on this one. I dunno who is making these decisions over at Nike at the moment, but they're currently 0 for 2.
