Aaron Rodgers Clears The Air On Missing Two OTA Days For A Trip To Egypt

On today's Pardon My Take... AARON RODGERS! The quarterback for the New York Jets joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter from Lake Tahoe to talk about last year, his trip to Egypt, conspiracy theories, whether or not he and Big Cat can be friends, and tons more.

The mystery absence by Rodgers earlier this summer made more headlines than it probably should have. Could the Jets have made the absence "excused?" Absolutely. I probably would not be writing this blog right now if that was the case. But, he wasn't there for a short period of time, and we got his thoughts on the matter on today's PMT. Here is the clip from the show...

TLDW: Rodgers thinks he will get fined for missing those days, but didn't seem to concerned about that. His full quote:

“Now, it’s not minicamp. They can arbitrarily put a tag on whatever week of OTAs they want. So this is the ‘minicamp’ week, which makes it somehow more mandatory than the other weeks. But it was an OTA schedule. That’s how words can be a little deceiving from time to time. You can make a story out of the fact that I missed a minicamp when it was really two OTA days. I came to the first 10.” - Aaron Rodgers on his absence from OTA's
