Steve Bartman 2.0? Cubs Fan Robs The Entire Royals Ballpark Of Free Chick-Fil-A After Robbing A Home Run

Cubs fans sitting down the left field line HAVE to start keeping their hands to themselves! Just stop reaching out for those balls down the line! Kansas City has a promo going where if a ball hits the foul pole the entire ballpark gets free Chick-Fil-A, sounds like something we can all get behind, right? WRONG! This Cubs fan had to get their inner Bartman on and interfere with the play and also take away a free meal from everyone. Ball is smoked down the line and headed for the foul pole.

I mean it's clearly going to hit the pole, which would have also been a home run for the Royals, so at least he played good defense I guess? But in saving that run he cost himself and thousands of others a free delicious meal of chicken. In the moment I bet people were HEATED. Not only did he steal a run off the board, he stole food! It's almost an exact replay of Bartman, goes for the foul ball, interferes with it, people get furious with him. But these fans were mad for a whole other reason.

I'm sure Chick-Fil-A was THRILLED that they didn't have to give away a bunch of free food on a Sunday of all days, but you know their customer service and how they are, they ended up honoring the promo and the fine people in the ballpark got their free Chick-Fil-A. All is right in the world, except for the Royals not having that run count but at least you can get that spicy chicken sandwich with extra pickles. They reviewed the play and obviously ruled interference on the fan so even though the ball didn't hit the pole the fans got their chicken and they got their run. The fan also got the ball, which is the thing no one cares about in this situation. How about him raising his hands to celebrate in the moment too? Dude, everyone in the ballpark hates you right now, tuck your tail and run. If there is one person in that park who shouldn't get the free food, it's him. Naturally the fantastic customer service of Chick-Fil-A came out and rewarded those folks with their food. But this guy shouldn't be allowed to sit in the front row, take away those rights for him for sure. Mess with a baseball game? Sure. Mess with people's stomachs, a bridge too far bud.
