Move Over, Al Michaels. Snoop Dogg Gives Us The Most Memorable Olympic Broadcast Call During This Badminton Rally

"Do you believe in Miracles" was a call that transcended sports. You can say those 5 words to almost anybody in America right now and they'll know that was the Americans taking down the Soviet Red Army at the 1980 Olympic hockey tournament. Doesn't matter if they care about sports or not, it was that memorable of a moment and call. Al Michaels had a one in a million chance of being able to call that moment, and he crushed it.

And now an a new generation of USA sports fans will have a call of their own to remember for the rest of their lives. "Gimme that, no I need that, no over here, no over there, what about over there, nope, what about there, nope, gimme that, I need that, that too, way up in the sky, now down, back up, over there, now over here, get out the way, move I tell you, I need that". It's a call that will go down in history as Team USA ended up losing the rally to China. But it was a 40-shot rally, so that has to count for something.

The great thing about Snoop Dogg is how well he understands the intricacies of badminton. His knowledge of the game really shines through during his commentary. He understands that it's all about just hitting the shuttlecock to different spots and hoping your opponent isn't able to return it back over the net. Sometimes you want to hit it here, sometimes you want to hit it there. Most people don't get that, but it's what makes Snoop such a special commentator across all sports. His versatility is unmatched, as well as his passion for the game. The dee oh double gee just gets it.
