Logan Paul is Being Accused of Trying to Murder His Dog

There's a lot of wild accusations thrown around on the internet. A lot of jokes that fly around. Typically at other people's expense. Which for the most part, I'm a proponent of. The entire internet coming together and accusing Drake of pedophilia to because Kendrick Lamar said so in a rap... that's all in good fun.

But accusing people of attempted dog murder is a bridge too far. I won't stand for it on my internet blog. If you're gonna slap a "dog murderer" label on someone, then you sure as hell better have your facts straight. Because of all the things you can be accused of on the internet, dog murderer is the worst of the bunch. It goes:

1. Dog Murderer
2. Pedophile
3. Rapist
4. Lib

Unfortunately that's where we're at with Logan Paul. I must admit, when I first watched this video, I thought he pushed his dog off the boat (for clicks). A healthy sized portion of the internet has jumped to that conclusion as well.

But I'm a reasonable guy. I'm not going to jump to conclusions. As fun as it would be to jump on the bandwagon and attempt to cancel a trophy fish as big as a Paul brother, I'm not just going to do that without taking a good hard look at the situation. And based on Logan Paul's explanation + the video evidence he provided, I believe the man did NOT attempt to kill his dog by shoving him underneath a boat motor.

I'm not a Logan Paul fan or anything. I don't hate the guy. But I certainly don't plan to go out of my way to defend him.. Except when it comes to dog murder accusations. After watching the slow motion video, and hearing his explanation, I firmly believe that Broley (dog) jumped off the boat on his own free will. He was squatting on the edge of the boat with a couple people petting his hindquarters nervously. Then he got excited and jumped. If you want to rip Logan Paul for putting his dog in that situation to begin with, that's fair. He's probably not the model dog owner. It's also a bit strange he had his camera out in front of his dog the way he did. And some might argue, "If you ever find yourself issuing a public statement about how you didn't try to kill your dog, you probably tried to kill your dog." (i.e. that Shane Dawson YouTube guy back in 2019 who "definitely didn't fuck his cat")

All valid points. All points that give me pause. But I really don't see how you can watch the slow motion footage and truly believe there was a pushing motion.

Look, if there's ever a valid reason to cancel Logan Paul, I won't stand in anyone's way. If we find out tomorrow he's been trafficking young Romanian women along with Andrew Tate, then have at it. If we learn next week that he's been funneling money to ISIS, then great. If someone hacks into his banking records and we find that he donated $10 to Barack Obama campaign back in 2012, then we'll have no choice but to tie him to the back of a Jeep and drag him through the streets. But I won't participate in this dog murder witch hunt. We can't be throwing around such heinous accusations on the internet.
