After 30 Years, Incubus Is Still Getting After It, With Reworked Music And A New Tour

When it comes to alternative rock bands that have consistently pushed boundaries and evolved their sound over the decades, Incubus undoubtedly stands out. From their early funk-metal roots to their later explorations of ambient and electronic elements, they've never been afraid to switch things up and keep their music fresh. These guys have been jamming since way back in 1991, and guess what? They're hitting the road again for a brand new tour!

Back in the day, Incubus started out with a funk-metal vibe that got heads banging. But it was their second album, S.C.I.E.N.C.E., that really put them on the map. Songs like "New Skin"

and "A Certain Shade of Green"

were all over MTV, and their live shows were the stuff of legends.

The late '90s and early 2000s were Incubus's golden years. Albums like Make Yourself andd Morning View spawned massive hits like "Drive," "

Stellar,"

and "Wish You Were Here."

Their sound got a bit more melodic and accessible, but they still kept that signature Incubus edge.

After a bit of a hiatus and some solo projects, Incubus came back in 2011 with If Not Now, When?, an album that leaned even further into their mellow side. It might not have been everyone's cup of tea, but it showed they were still willing to experiment. And then in 2017, they dropped 8, produced by none other than Skrillex.

And now they're hitting the road to play everything. With over three decades of music under their belts, Incubus has a ton of hits to choose from for this tour. You can expect a mix of everything they told us, high-energy rockers, chill ballads, and some experimental jams thrown in for good measure.
