Taylor Swift Becomes The Most Awarded Artist In VMAs History, What, Like Its Hard?

I KNOW THATS RIGHT!! Keep your foot on their necks girl!!! After a relatively tame VMAs and very few actual awards shown on TV, we finally have the full list of wins for Taylor Swift in 2024:

Seven VMAs, all voted by the fans. We only saw her (and Post Malone) accept two of them, which tells me that the people at MTV were committed to making this as fun, normal, and non contentious as they could have. Taylor now has FORTY, 4-0, VMAs and ends the night as the most decorated artist MTV has ever seen. What, like it's hard? 

I'm glad that we escaped the night with a lot of wins, a lot of humility, zero drama and looking absolutely fly doing it all. I like the VMAs - it is strange to think how they still exist, considering MTV itself isn't even close to what it once was. I do love how all of the artists and fans seem to respect its legacy, nonetheless. The night was full of a lot of throwback awards, vanguard shoutouts, and even Carson Daly came out and made a joke about "being with our moms every afternoon" 

All in all, I'd say it was a good night!
